COMPLETE YOUR FINANCIAL AID BEFORE THE PRIORITY DEADLINE!

L.A. Cash for College provides FREE, one-on-one assistance to students completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), California Dream Act Application (for eligible AB540 students) or Chafee Grant application for foster youth. These forms must be completed by the priority deadline (April 2 if you live in California) to receive priority consideration for state and federal financial aid, including grants, scholarships, loans and work-study opportunities.

Applications for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and California Dream Act Application (for eligible AB540 students) open on Oct. 1, 2025. These forms must be completed by the March 2, 2026, priority deadline to receive priority consideration for state and federal financial aid, including grants, scholarships, loans and work-study opportunities.

L.A. Cash for College is hosting a free series of financial aid, college prep and career workshops open to students, families and community members throughout Los Angeles County. These events are geared toward high school students and first-year, first-generation college students who need more guidance on navigating the college process or parents and caregivers looking to create a college-going environment at home. L.A. Cash for College is a "one-stop" opportunity for all students and families to make an early commitment to college.
